|Day 1||Nairobi||Nairobi/ Amboseli (Approx 4hrs drive)|
On arrival at JKIA, you are met by a Nature Expeditions driver/guide for the drive to Amboseli National Park, located to the south east of Nairobi. The Park is famous for its big game and scenic beauty with the landscape dominated by Mt. Kilimanjaro. It offers an interesting contrast with its dry and dusty appearance, which can be attributed to the volcanic ash that came out of Mt Kilimanjaro when it last erupted. In spite of the appearance, there is a continuous supply of water that gets filtered through volcanic rocks from Kilimanjaro's melted snow. These streams flow underground, creating lush green areas, and converge at two clear water springs in the park. All meals and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp (full board)
Amboseli National Park
Spend a further day in the park on a full day game viewing drive with picnic lunch.Wildlife here includes the zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, caracal and serval cat, lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo among others. There are also over 400 species of birds, including the bee-eater, kingfisher, African fish eagle, martial eagle and pygmy falcon. Visitors mainly come to watch the huge herds of elephants. The bull elephants have some of the largest tusks in all of Kenya. Visitors can also enjoy excellent views of Mt Kilimanjaro and Meru. All meals and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp (full board).
|Day 3||Mount Kenya||Amboseli / Mount Kenya (Approx 7hrs drive)|
After breakfast morning drive to Mount Kenya National Park via Nairobi and the fertile Central Highlands - reminiscent of the English countryside and thus favored by the original settlers for their country homes - until reaching the Serena Mountain Lodge for lunch. Experience game viewing opportunities while combining a glorious panorama of mountain vistas with the primordial splendors of an ancient rainforest. Awake to the trumpeting of elephant, fall asleep to the symphony of the African night or sit in stillness and observe the fascinating interplay of the animals as they arrive to drink, bathe, spar and forage around the water hole. Dinner and overnight at Serena Mountain Lodge (full board)
Mount Kenya National Park
|Day 4||Samburu||Mount Kenya / Samburu (Approx 4hrs drive)|
This morning, drive further north of Kenya to Samburu Game Reserve which is within the land of the colourful Samburu people, close relatives of the Maasai, and harbours a number of wildlife species found only north of the equator. It offers unique vistas of rounded and rugged hills and undulating plains. The mix of wood and grassland with riverine forest and swamp is home to a wide variety of animal and birdlife. Lunch is served at the lodge and later in the afternoon proceed on a game viewing drive until sunset. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Lodge (full board)
Spend the day in the Reserve where game viewing and visibility is excellent. Bird life is superb with over 380-recorded species and game which includes reticulated giraffes, Grevy's zebras, elephants, Oryx, Somali ostrich, hippos, crocodiles, gerenuk, buffaloes, lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas. The long-necked gerenuk is a graceful antelope which spends much of its time in a bi-pedal stance seeking succulence among the withered scrub which dots this harsh terrain. Scenically, for most of the year Samburu is under the unsympathetic equatorial sun. Relief comes from the Ewaso Ng'iro River which rises some hundreds of kilometers to the west on the foothills of the Aberdares and vanishes beyond Samburu in the recess of the Lorian swamp. All meals and overnight at Samburu Lodge (full board).
|Day 6||Lake Nakuru||Samburu / Lake Nakuru (Approx 6hrs drive)|

This is home to the greatest concentration of large mammals and is widely recognized as Africa's ultimate wildlife reserve. The park is the northern extension to the vast Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, famous for its annual migration of wildebeest. This is a spectacular place of breathtaking sceneries, never-ending plains and the most abundant variety of wildlife remaining anywhere in the world.
